It's important to note that specific pre-treatment instructions may vary depending on the recommendations of your healthcare provider. However, here are some general pre-treatment instructions for Sculptra:

  • Avoid taking blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil, unless approved by your healthcare provider.

  • Inform your healthcare provider about any medications, supplements, or herbal remedies you are currently taking, as some may interfere with the treatment.

  • Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before the procedure, as it can increase the risk of bruising and swelling.

  • If you have any active skin infections, rashes, or cold sores in the treatment area, it is best to postpone the procedure until the area has healed.

  • Notify your healthcare provider if you have any allergies or a history of keloid formation.

  • Arrive with a clean face, free from makeup, lotions, or any other topical products.

  • Stay well-hydrated before the procedure, as it can help optimize the results.

  • Follow any specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider regarding fasting or dietary restrictions prior to the treatment.

  • Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2-3 days before and after treatment (i.e. tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)

  • Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores to receive advice on antiviral therapy prior to treatment.

  • Do not use the above stated if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Remember, it is essential to consult with your healthcare provider to receive personalized pre-treatment instructions that best suit your individual circumstances.
